Providence is a small city but it packs a big punch. I know that’s a cliché saying but it is true. Over the years Providence, RI has emerged as a good destination for food lovers and in this cheat cheat sheet I have given my picks on where to eat in Providence.
Before we even talk about the food the people in Providence are extremely friendly and we got great customer service at most places. Now about the food there is seafood, great breakfast spots and nice wineries nearby. So if you’re wondering where to eat in Providence please download this mini guide! I’ve also linked a food tour that you can take to get you acquainted with food scene.
As for what to do when you’re not eating delicious food there are some great options. My favorite, if you time your visit right is to go to Waterfire. This is such a unique attraction where there are multiple installations of fire burning over the river. It was really cool seeing the workers in the boat going to each installment and adding more wood to the huge flames on the water. There are also boat rides that you can take that gets you even closer to the fire.
In addition to Waterfire, check the cheat sheet below for other things to do, like checking out the art scene or some of their museums. And since you’ll be close to Newport don’t forget to check out the cheat sheet for that city as well. We also have great options listed there, that you do not want to miss. All in all Providence is a great city to visit!
