What to do in Orlando other than going to Disney or one of the other parks? This cheat sheet helps you out with that along with where to eat in Orlando. I tried to stay clear of all the Park themed activities even free places like Disney Springs or Universal City Walk. So obviously there are tons of other things to do that are not listed in this cheat sheet. However I wanted to highlight some other great places that you may not think about.
One place that I wrote a whole paragraph on is Clermont because it was a great place to visit. Locals here are still surprised that it is now a great place for visitors because a few years ago not people stopped by. But now, it has a ton of amazing eateries, breweries and shops and I highly recommend going there.
Another place I enjoyed was the Bok Tower Gardens even though it was a bit of a drive. It’s not one of those gardens with ornate sculpted topiaries but it is a very peaceful place. I recommend packing a lunch, exploring the garden and eating on the grounds.
Now as far where to eat in Orlando, there are so many options! I’ve listed quite a few in this mini travel guide but there are other places I couldn’t list like the Orlando Farmers’ Market and Winter Park Farmers’ Market which has a ton of food vendors. I also didn’t mention some of the food halls like East End Market where you should definitely grab some cookies from Gideon’s bakehouse or Plant St. Market.
